I’ve been taking a bit of a break from the media side of disc golf. I wasn’t feeling any burnout, though I didn’t have the same drive for a couple of weeks. Work got crazy for about a month, and doing much of anything on a computer beyond what I do at work just had no appeal.
But, the good news is I’m back at it strong. I have a tournament to film on December 2nd, the Raleigh Winter Classic, on a private course near Raleigh, MS. It’s a bit of a drive for me at almost 4 hours away for a one day tourney. Thankfully, I have family not to far away that I’m staying with during the weekend.
I’m still working on finishing up the 16th Annual Lee Naquin Memorial 3rd round video. Family and work have taken a toll, so I’ve been trying to get more rest. Along with diet changes necessary for my health, concerns about gaining control of my diabetes, and spending time with my family, we’re glad things are calming down a bit around the house.
So, to tide you over until I finish the Back 9 video of the Lee Naquin Memorial, take a gander at the Front 9 video. It was super windy that day, as a storm system moved through the area. Those storms barely missed the area where the courses are located, though we still got patches of rain and lots of misty conditions on Saturday. Sunday’s final round was just windy as heck. It contributed to some times of the cam being shaky when I was in a catch position. Maybe once I get a better and heavier camera, I won’t have to worry about it.
